Roughly 20 million orchids are sold every year in the United States alone. Of those 20 million orchids sold last year in the US, it is estimated that 75% of them were thrown away in the trash after they had finished blooming. That's approximately 15 million orchids that were discarded while they were still alive because they were no longer considered beautiful, and therefore no longer considered valuable. But orchids are still very much alive after they finish blooming and given the proper care they almost always bloom again. Instead of throwing out your orchids consider donating them to Garden of the Fallen Orchids.
Any and all donations will go directly towards our Orchid Rescue Program. Help us reach our goal of building our Orchid Care Facility.
